Living in Pennsyltucky, we have become keenly aware of all things radical right wing. Now we are presented with a dangerous quack who wants to carpetbag his way into the soon to be vacant Pat Toomey (R-Wall Street) Senate seat. From his mansion in North Jersey, this vote fraudster (who registered to vote at his in-laws’ house in Montco) wants to come in and switch this seat’s allegiance from Wall Street to Erdoğan. www.nationalreview.com/...
National Review, that bastion of establishment Republican “thought”, is going after him as the Turkey sympathizer that he seems to be in real life. His slick ads don’t mention his dual citizenship or his ties to the Turkish dictator. Or to several companies owned by the Turkish government. Or his involvement (indirectly or otherwise) with the Erdoğan regime.
They do not mention that he is in league with opponents of that semi-famous Pennsylvanian “charter school operator” Fetulleh Gulen debsedstudies.org/... (this guy is rather unique as well: www.bbc.com/…, www.vox.com/...). Gulen has many, many problems, but he is a Pennsylvanian, and I’m sure that Erdoğan would love to have a state asset to be the Senator for one of his biggest rivals.
Once upon a time, maybe this nonsense would have alone disqualified someone for high office in what is left of this country. But with TFG, this seems to be a feature of the unamerican party, not a bug. Sure, he has far more money than sense, his diet pill nonsense grift is par for the far right wing course these days.
Unfortunately, I don’t think that establishment republicans will hold much sway in Pennsyltucky. They still follow their lord and god TFG. I can’t explain why, but does anyone on this site understand that pathology? I don’t get it. He’ll get the Santorum (definedictionarymeaning.com/...) vote no matter what. Shocking but real. It is now up to us to figure out who wins the good guys’ primary and make sure that our candidate is ready to beat this clown back across the river to his mansion. This clown disgusts me as much as TFG.
